A rare species with little circulation. Beautiful flowers of about 2 cm bloom sparsely. A member of the arch clematis genus, it has a different atmosphere from the usual species. The leaves are wide and alternate, not opposite. The vines grow vigorously, so it is best to prune them to about half their length after flowering. In cold regions, the leaves are deciduous.
